Community Outreach
Covina Assembly of God is committed reaching out to our community by providing these outreaches which are specifically designed to helping those in need. All of the efforts described below would not be possible without the donations of these local businesses as well as the efforts of hundreds of volunteers.
Back-2-School Blast
Each summer Covina Assembly of God goes to a local park and gives out more than a thousand backpacks filled with school supplies, along with serving dinner. Donations and many volunteers are needed to make this event happen. Watch the video below to see the segment ABC News broadcast about Back-2-School Blast.
Community Service Day
Each spring the congregants from Covina Assembly of God join with several local churches to perform much needed services throughout the city of Covina. Watch the video below to see the segment ABC News broadcast about Community Service Day.
Community Christmas Party
In December, Covina Assembly of God provides gifts, turkeys, and other items to hundreds of needy families in our local community. Every child between eighteen months and fifteen years receives a gift.
Kids Reach
Reach out to local children by playing games, doing crafts, after-school homework program and just being available to show the love of Christ to members of our own community who may not know Him. Ministry opportunities are available on Saturday afternoons and Wednesday evenings.
Royal Family Kids’ Camp
For one week in the summer, Covina Assembly of God sponsors a camp for dozens of abused and neglected foster children, creating positive memories and showing God's love in a tangible way. Watch the movie below for a glimpse of what camp is like. Learn more about Royal Family Kids' camp here.
